This autumn join Water Sports on a weeklong excursion to the remote Exuma Cays on board the Aqua Cat, the most luxurious liveaboard in the Caribbean.

The Exuma Cays are the most exotic of the Bahamian Out Islands, a 190-kilometer long chain where the crystal-clear tropical Atlantic pours through the deep cuts between the cays. The area is so unspoiled, its reefs and islands so pristine, that the Bahamian government set aside a 456 sq km section as the Exuma Cays Land and Sea Park, one of the world's most successful marine parks.

The waters of the Exuma Cays are thick with coral reefs that are alive with every imaginable ocean critter from beautiful angelfish and butterfly fish, to charismatic food-chain toppers like barracuda and grouper and down to the tiniest invertebrates like miniature crabs and shrimp. Other exciting dives include exhilarating high speed drift dives, like the famous "Washing Machine" dive, wall dives where large pelagics are frequently seen and blue holes which are banked by patch reefs with huge schools of fish.

Endless Eco-Adventures...
For those wanting a break from diving, the Aqua Cat makes regular stops at some of the 365 sparsely populated cays of the Exumas, providing one of the most beautiful settings for sea kayaking and snorkelling along the beaches and mangroves. It even offers shore excursions on its 28-ft Delta dive boat, the Sea Dog, allowing guests to explore the islands on foot, go bird watching, stroll on amazing white sand beaches or even feed wild iguanas and pigs. These excursions are so much fun that even some non-divers repeatedly rebook with Aqua Cat.

The Luxury Liveaboard of the Bahamas...
The Aqua Cat is a masterfully designed 102-ft long catamaran cruising yacht that ensures a quick and smooth ride through the cays. The Aqua Cat has three spacious decks with amenities that will spoil divers and non-divers alike. The passenger cabins are some of the largest of any liveaboard, each fully air conditioned with a private washroom, shower, and fridge. The main salon features comfortable sofas, a wet bar, entertainment centre, and dining room. The all-inclusive culinary highlights include gourmet North American favourites and local specialties, fresh fruit, delicious deserts, wine service, tropical cocktails, rum drinks and local beer on tap.

The very spacious dive deck features two dive platforms and ladders, two fresh water rinse tanks and rinse hoses with hot and cold water by each dive ladder. Photographers will love the photo station with large work area and battery charging station. Two enclosed showers and a toilet are also conveniently located on the dive deck.
